Shear Delight is the wool brand of Dodgson Wood, a Lake District family farm that keeps rare and native breed sheep and cattle. The farm keeps mainly Cheviot sheep on the fell as well are rare breed Castlemilk Moorits and Teeswaters and some Hebridean and Bluefaced Leicesters. Each breed of sheep has a very different type of wool which are sold raw, spun into knitting yarn or made into tweed. Shear Delight also buys wool from farmer friends and they use the writer James Rebanks’ Herdwick wool to make Shepherd’s Bags and work jackets.
